Dr. Rakesh Singh Negi is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at HNB Garhwal Central University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand. With over 18 years of teaching and research experience, he specialises in gender politics, electoral studies, and the political landscape of the Himalayan region.
His doctoral research examined women’s political activism in Uttaranchal with special reference to the Garhwal division. He has been a key collaborator with Lokniti-CSDS, New Delhi across multiple national and state-level election studies since 2004, rising from Research Investigator to State Coordinator.
He is the President and Founder of the Human Development and World Peace Mission (NGO) in Uttarakhand and a founder member of the Uttarakhand Political Science Association.
